Our Statement in respect to the push to expand the Badger Cull to Staffordshire

This push to expand the unnecessary slaughter of badgers exposes the Green-Wash facade of this environmentally illiterate conservative government for what they are, being stripped bare by their bloodlust.

Following on from their spectacular failure to recognise animal sentience this cruel, heartless and scientifically flawed practice must be stopped and outlawed, not expanded. This would be a disaster for animal safety in our County if it is allowed.

Bovine TB is a cattle problem not a badger problem, we need to focus on better hygiene, improved control of movement of cattle and a greater emphasis on the general health and management of cattle.

We urgently implore anyone who cares for animals to respond to the consultation by 19th March; not now, not here, not ever.
