Green Party MEP Ellie Chowns will be visiting the Hednesford Festival next weekend as part of busy summer schedule of engagement across the West Midlands.
The annual celebration of community spirit that is Hednesford Festival gathers on Saturday 10th August running from 11am to 4pm following previous successful years with growing attractions and visitors and fun pack day is planned.
Ms Chowns was elected as the first Green Party MEP for the West Midlands in May and has a full schedule through the summer whilst the European Parliament is in recess visiting events across the region to listen, learn and engage with residents.
Leader of the Green Group in Cannock Chase Paul Woodhead commented
“It is great Ellie is joining us on Saturday, Green Party progress locally has been based on engagement and working hard all year round. I know Ellie, like all our colleagues, has this at the core of her work as a Councillor and MEP and it is fantastic she is using the time through the summer to visit us and other events across the West Midlands”
Ms Chowns added
“I am delighted to join the community of Hednesford I've got a packed August planned full of visits to fantastic events all over the West Midlands. I'm going out & about to meet as many people as possible - and not just 'the usual suspects'! It's so important for politicians to keep talking and especially LISTENING to people from all walks of life.”
